Anyone want to join me in a lose a few kilos, get a bit healthier regime? I need a friend to spur me on. Nothing drastic, no major diets or anything.

I think I'll be less grumpy / have more energy if I eat healthier and get some exercise.

I also do not fit into any of my jeans at all - I am currently still wearing my maternity jeans. I don't want to buy new jeans. I have 7 pairs that don't fit.

I also went shopping today for a new jacket and I fit into a size 10. Which is no big deal, because sizes are inconsistent for women, right, and I've been a 10 before, except this store had sizes down to 4. Which meant that I fit into the 4th biggest size in the store. There are THREE WHOLE SIZES SMALLER THAN I AM AND I DON'T KNOW IF YOU KNOW WHAT I LOOK LIKE BUT I AM RATHER SMALL. I normally don't have to try on clothes at the shop, I just take the smallest size off the rack.

So, anyone? I'll come up with actual concrete plans tomorrow when Toby isn't crying at me.

I wish I were nearby.
My "friends" are encouraging me by feeding me and giving me their larger pants that they no longer fit into.
:(
Not cool, man...
But they do fit nicely.

What kind of things have you been doing?

I'd never really been great at dieting before. I would just cut out some of the unhealthier foods I eat and exercise. But that wasn't working. My boyfriend has got us on this diet since the beginning of the year and we're going to the gym, mostly two time a week. He has us working on different areas on different days - like one day will be arms and shoulders and the next might be legs and back and doing some horrible ab exercises.

For diet, he has us on this Paleoburn diet, which is a low carb diet. We're also trying to cut out meat, which is a bit difficult with the diet since a lot of the recommeded meals involve meat. I kind of balked when I saw that for the diet list you could only drink water, black coffee, and tea. But its' not been too bad of an adjustment. I'd already cut out most sodas before that. Now I've cut off juice and I don't miss it too much. I cheat a little because I drink almond milk which doesn't have too many carbs or sugar.

I'm also keeping track of what I eat with an app on my phone called MyFitnessPal. That's really helped. Most days I'm under my target calorie goal. Though sometimes a little too under. It's hard to find things to eat, at least for me, that have a lot of calories, but don't have too much sugar or carbs. I cheat a little on the diet. Most days you're supposed to go under 100 carbs, but I'm always over. But I mostly keep to under 150 carbs a day and I've been losing weight. The diet allows one cheat day where you can eat whatever you want, and that helps, too.

I'm on "three-completely-vegetarian-days-a-week-plus-no-dessert April". Thus far, it is SUCKING. I am also attempting to do actual exercise when i watch TV...

also if you're talking about country road their sizing is literally the worst in what world can i be both a six and a twelve in the same store.

Do you eat very much meat that going semi-vegetarian actually helps?

I hardly eat any meat at all, but I do have it every day.

No, I was talking Forever New.

I ate it a fair bit? Like, three times a week (decently sized serves) - at least? I think what really helps (I have done this before) is it forces me to be more creative with my meals? And replacing it with beans/legumes/tofu/more veggies/whatever in a healthy way rather than just "eat more carbs!" I hope that helps!

(Some of the things I have been making: eggplant lasagne with mushroom or lentil in the sauce (eggplant/zucchini instead of pasta; the mushrooms and lentils make it super filling/rich), quinoa and capsicum burgers, all manner of ridiculous soups - let me know if you want links/recipes/other ideas :D)
