Step 3: Profit!
Mar. 28th, 2011 12:02 pmI forgot to tell people that we would be providing alcohol at Adam's birthday. It kind of never occurred to me, because I guess Vietnamese people always provide *everything* when hosting a party. We never split the bill at dinners etc. Maybe that's just an ethnic thing - I find all the Indian / European people I grew up with did the same thing. (Adam and I took my parents out for dinner last month, and my aunt and uncle decided to come along too, so Adam and I were stuck with a $350+ bill :\)
Now that I've married Adam and moved in with him, I live in an area full of tradespeople. It's too far from the city for businesspeople to commute. It's just on the edge where the city ends and the country starts. I quite like it though it's not too affluent.
Anyway, everyone who came to Adam's party brought a six pack of beer with them. (didn't even know people did this until I started dating Adam. I actually drank other people's drinks they left in the fridge/bath because I assumed that they were provided by the host. I made some people pretty upset.)
I have so much beer left over I think I've made a beer profit.
Adam doesn't even drink beer. I don't know what I'm going to do with it all.

Have baby #1
Have baby #2
Have baby #3
Have baby #4
Graduate college
Graduate high school
Meet significant other
Meet who you hoped was your significant other but wasn't
Move out of parent's house for good

- Meet who you hoped was your significant other but wasn't. He came to see me in the hospital when I was born. He was 2. By the time I was 4 I was hopelessly in love, by the time I was 15, I was convinced we were going to e TOGETHER FOREVER. I broke up with him when I was 18 because I found out that just because you love someone doesn't mean you make a good couple. He still hasn't dated anyone since then. It's been 11 years.
- Get a cell phone - I got one in Year 10 - 1998.
- Graduate high school - 2000
- Start college - 2001
- Meet significant other - I met Adam when I moved universities in 2005.
- Become gainfully employed - I don't know what this means. I've always had a job, but I held a full time job over the summer of 2007/2008 as a Foxtel call centre operator.
- Get married - 2008
- Get drunk for the first time - I got drunk on my honeymoon.
- Move out of parent's house for good - moved out when I got married.
- Buy a house - umm, Adam already owned a house, so I just moved into that.
- Get Pregnant - 2010!
- Buy a car
- Have baby #1
So... still waiting on the Graduate College bit. :)

Only My Husband #352
Mar. 3rd, 2011 09:35 amCouple of weeks back, Liam peed on his flannelette sheet so while I went to change his nappy, I asked Adam to change the sheets. I handed him a new sheet and a waterproof mattress protector.
Adam is notorious for not putting sheets on straight, so when I came back, I was pleased to see everything was done nicely!
Today I search the house up and down for the flannelette sheet because it's getting cold, and that sheet is nice and warm. COULD NOT FIND THEM ANYWHERE. Adam must have put them in the wash? In the laundry basket? Under the cot? Stashed back in the drawers? WHERE????
Found them finally.
Under the new sheets. Under the mattress protector.
WHO PUTS NEW SHEETS OVER THE OLD SMELLY WET ONES?
WHO?
Only my husband.
