Oculus got back to me and they're sending me a new Oculus Quest, but only after I send them the broken one first, and honestly at the rate Auspost is dealing with stuff now, it could take weeks and weeks.
They were very easy to deal with though, I filled out a support webform and it never gave me a ticket number so I just logged into their chat and a guy helped me immediately. I love chat support over phone support, I love having the a text log and I love being able to do other things while having it open.

I've started Christmas Shopping. I figured if I need to get my retail therapy out, I might as well do something useful. I've bought a couple of lego advent calendars for the kids. I'm trying to wait for the sales in the next few months though.

My Dark Rise book came! Earlier than expected, but a week behind everyone else. It was even signed by CS Pacat which was a lovely surprise. Though to be fair I think almost all the books of hers I own have been signed, I seem to see her a lot haha. It's been a strange book so far, I'm just over halfway through and I desperately want to talk about it

I've had a lot of discussions lately about translation and audience, surrounding the mxtx stuff as well as Squid Game on netflix and I was going to type it up, but you know, I cbf rn

I'm also in the middle of watching Age of Ultron with the kids. I don't think I've seen it, at least I don't remember much of it at all, which is weird, why would I have skipped an Avengers movie?

It's a lovely day today, I've sent Adam out to get me sushi, and I made him an appointment to get a mole map done, maybe a good 13 years overdue but while that would have been the best time, the second best time is today, am i right
