- I hid a few RL people from my FB newsfeed and I feel much less rage in the mornings when I check my FB. There's only so much stupidity, racism, classism and sexism I can handle with my breakfast.

- I have an issue with my Tumblr where I follow some extremely talented fanartists but their text posts and tags are just full of snobbery, hate and entitlement and I haven't worked out how to deal with that yet.

- I feel like I'm obligated to watch Game of Thrones even though it's pretty much just a whole heap of Crap Stuff that happen to Unsympathetic People now, or Game of Jerks. I can't remember the last time any character was happy. And there are A LOT of characters. I honestly don't think I'd be at all upset if any of them died.

- Unlike Spartacus where I'm guaranteed to cry buckets from here on out.

- The 30 Day TV Meme has made me think a lot about the TV I've consumed over the years. I was thinking about shows with Asian characters in them in my childhood and I could come up with two: Captain Planet, and the Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers. (a little later on there would be Ghostwriter, but I was a bit older by then). I remember wishing that Wheeler (the North American Fire guy) and Linka (the Eastern European Wind girl) would hook up - and I think they did, and thinking about it now, it's obvious that they were the only two who could hook up because they were the only two white people. And that went with Power Rangers too.. Kimberley the Pink Ranger ended up with Tommy the Green/White Ranger because black/Asian people never get romances. And it never ever occurred to me to think otherwise as a kid.

I really hope that changes as Liam grows up because I really do not want him to completely reject the fact that he is as much Vietnamese as he is white. I really want him to think that it's cool to be Vietnamese. Haha maybe he'll be into martial arts and drifting and I won't have to care :p

- We've had a lovely Easter - Adam took Liam camping overnight and I got a lot of sleep and managed to see my family and all my friends which is pretty much unheard of for me. Liam helped me decorate some Easter baskets for the family, and I filled them with eggs, when I woke up in the morning, all the eggs were mysteriously in Liam's basket. I WONDER HOW THAT HAPPENED.

- I really need to reorganise my wardrobe. Maybe I could do a 'should I keep / throwaway' photo set.

It always makes me shake my head how much bigotry and intolerance is allowed on FB while it's apparently censored in some ways (breastfeeding, alcohol, heck, even tasteful nudity is better than that stuff!). I have actually removed people for this. I don't remember how to hide anymore, I think it's been changed recently... have to look into it.

Oh with the people I hid, it wasn't very overt. Just a lot of sharing of news articles that I disagree with, or calling our female prime minister a whore :(

On your second point, I've really started lately to notice how more "liberal-minded" people (aka, pro-gay rights, pro-choice, artistic, etc) are just as hateful and closed-minded as the left-wingers, it's just that they think that their hate is more justified than the other side because they're for people's rights instead of against them. Or something. And add pretentiousness to it and it basically makes them unbearable. ONTD is full of these kinds of people.

Do you happen to follow "sugarbooty" on Tumblr? She's the girl who played Astrid in Fringe and she's wonderful. She posts a lot of political stuff that you like, but also she and her partner do some crafty stuff around their home and post about that. I really enjoy her posts, and she's about the cutest thing I've ever seen.

My issue with these few artists is the way they have gigantic egos. And they're just constantly belittle-ling other people's work - as if not everyone's fan art is worth something. Like, instead of just saying 'ooh! I like this graphic!' they'll be like 'oh, finally a decent take on this new trend, seriously, everyone else, if you can't use photoshop stop trying'.

Makes me so mad. Everyone has got to start somewhere and people are doing this for FUN.

Or they're just really into the hunt for popularity.

I am struggling to keep up with Tumblr at the moment now that Toby isn't needing breastfeeding like 5 times a night! I'll check her out.

This seems to be a problem with graphic designers, too. I can't believe how many pretentious, assy graphic designers there are out there. Man, everyone has to start somewhere, and even if they never reach your level of imagined genius, at least they're trying and what a dickbag you are for disparaging that. (You = collective)

What about Jon Snow? Arya? Daenerys? Tyrion?

Also, there's one character who really surprised me (in a positive way) later on. But I'm not going to spoil anything and he/she still has a long way to go from where the show currently is at to the point where they change for the (much) better.

I quite dislike Jon Snow :\ Just his emo 'Oh my life is going to amount to nothing I'm going to join the Black without really thinking about it' really irked me.

I don't like Dany either - her entitlement and the fact that she's willing to put so many people in danger / kill so many people.. for what?

Jon will be less emo. What season are you on? Current? I don't think Jon is emo anymore in S3. He's starting to mature!

Dany - she's not easily putting all those people in danger. At least not the non-Westerosi people *G*. Maybe this is clearer in the books? I can't really judge, as I know how she's portrayed in the books.

And for what? For her rightful place on the throne *G*.
