Foster girl B saw my MIL change Liam's nappy today and was all 'what's that?' It never occurred to me that a 6 year old would not know that boys have penises. I mean, I guess she hasn't been exposed (lol) to any, but it's still weird to me.

My MIL had to explain to her that boys pee out of them etc. She was fascinated!

I would expect a six year old to recognize a penis, or at least be aware they exist.

She's fairly delayed in all areas, but oddly very alert and doesn't seem to miss a thing. She doesn't have any friends at school and the household is all girls except for my FIL and he's not about to discuss penises with her!

Makes me wonder how everyone else picks it up that there's a difference.

I dunno. My dad's shy so I know I didn't see his, but I do remember seeing the neighbor boys junk and not being surprised by it.
