My dad built a sheltered wooden frame in his garden for his new orchid collection. He's very proud of it.
I went around to visit him today and heard a rooster sound. Dad lives in suburbia. His yard is completely paved. Apparently this little black rooster flew into Dad's backyard and liked the frame so much he uses it as a roost.
Dad can't get it to leave so he's given in and has started feeding the guy.
I have no idea where the rooster would have come from. Animals are always popping up in Dad's garden though. It's bizarre.

Date: 2011-03-10 06:02 am (UTC)My husband constantly brings home animals. I feel like I'm running a farm.
I came home to chickens in the backyard once. Husband told me that he was driving past a vacant lot and saw the chickens who "looked hungry" so he brought them home. O_O;;;
I asked him how the hell he got them home (because he has a work van) and he replied "Well, I put them in my wheelbarrow, put the barrow in the back of the van and drove them home".
So.
*shakes head*
I'm waiting for the day I return home and there's a donkey in the yard.
