Happiness is...

- House/Wilson.
- having your brother and your boyfriend fight for your love (and therefore true supremacy) through an air hockey match.
- being invited to lasagna dinners.
- having 5 separate people smile at you while waiting in a bank queue.
- knowing that your original friends really do care about you.
- having your teenage brother acknowledge and appreciate the fact that you cop a lot of flak on his behalf and do a lot of things not required of an older sister.
- getting kids to understand redox reactions. (oxidation is loss, reduction is gain. OILRIG. WOOT!)
- stolen naps.
- "it's not lupus."
- spending an evening with a 6'2" guy squished inside a single-sized sleeping bag, just to see if you both could fit. And then just to see if you could walk and eat and move and roll around in it from place to place. And finding out you can with a bit of teamwork. GO TEAM. Then discovering that awesome guy you're stuck in a too-small sleeping bag with is really sexy and managing to have sex too. GO TEAM x2.
- finding the courage to tell your mum that you really love said 6'2" guy. And having her try to push all her prejudices aside to say 'as long as he loves you and looks after you then that's good'.

Date: 2007-10-03 04:13 am (UTC)I put Adam through a lot, I think he only mostly understood why I was so scared of doing it. I think he was a little insulted that I couldn't just go HAY MUM OMG GOOD NEWS, and mum wasn't ever going to go 'OH TINA THAT'S WONDERFUL'
But it's ALL GOING TO BE AWESOME.

this gave me butterflies.
finding the courage to tell your mum that you really love said 6'2" guy. And having her try to push all her prejudices aside to say 'as long as he loves you and looks after you then that's good'.
this i went through with my mum. after an hour of arguing, shouting and door slamming, she finally relented and said that.
i have friended you. in hopes to find more things in common.
