My parents are really sad. When I got home last night, Mum was still sort of weeping and asked me never to hurt them this way ever again :\
I know it's like, emotional blackmail, but they are genuinely hurt and I don't think I have the heart to tell them I really want to move out. Mum also said that she'd do anything in her power to make me happy.
I know it won't happen overnight, but we're talking now, properly, so maybe things will get better.
Thanks to everyone that offered advice and support. It really helped me immeasurably.
In other, more regular news, I took Adam clothes shopping. I don't think he ever buys clothes. He seems to own one pair of jeans, one band t-shirt and a lot of t-shirts that appeared in his closet that are all falling apart and don't fit. He rarely looks in the mirror :\
Anyway, in about an hour and a half, and $180 later, we managed two pairs of jeans (that fit properly), two new t-shirts, and a lovely warm thick faux-suede jacket he can wear out and not freeze his ass off because he doesn't own a jacket. I ROCK.
Problem is, now he looks so amazing I don't want him to wear it all out because he'll have the women all over him. *laughs* Jeans! White t-shirt! He looked like a walking Calvin Klein ad! Or the Coca-Cola guy! Dammit. Almost molested him in the change room, but I behaved.
There's also been a little back dress from Review that I've been covetting for close to a year but could never justify (or afford) the $230 price. Well we found it for $130, so Adam bought me a dress. Prettiest dress ever. All lace and billions of pleats and ribbon. YAY YAY YAY.
Oh, and he bought me a new Singstar game. HI MY NAME IS TINA AND I AM TOTES SPOILT.
We also managed to cram in three meals, a grocery shopping trip, some errands and a few hours of sex. Yay for getting things done.
In the meantime, my 8th grade students are writing down lists of things I like, so that Mr Shy-Would-You-Like-Tea-or-Coffee can leave me little gifts on my front porch every day. It's cute, but I've already told them I'm not interested :\

Date: 2007-06-28 02:19 am (UTC)It was like weeks worth of grocery shopping too! Like a month's worth! I'm very proud of myself. Usually we fall asleep for a couple of hours but we decided we could actually achieve something if we got up. We're genius. :p

Here's me putting on the dress a year ago, when my waist was ridiculous.

The bottom half of the dress is all micropleats and is so pretty. It's a lace overlay on a satiny slip. I just wanted a little black dress that had sleeves that didn't make me look chunky.
