So we survived a silly fandom-wide wank. There have been a number of love memes since then, but they've been people and fandom orientated and I wanted to go back to the root of everything, the reasons why we're here, and because

restriction is hosting one at the moment for the My Chemical Romance fandom (no really. My flist is varied.) and it seems fun.

And people are stressed and lethargic so I thought it would bring a smile to everyone's faces.

Also people are trying to write PoT challenge fic while being distracted by Bleach and Naruto and other such shiny things so I thought it'd be a nice reminder.

So here is:

THE PRINCE OF TENNIS LOVE IN

So this is all about what we love about Prince of Tennis. The manga, the anime, the musicals and the radio shows and the songs. The video game! The movies, animated or live action. There's a lot to love and a lot to smile about.

All you need to do is share the love. Tell me what you love about PoT. Pictures, scenes, moments. Characters, themes, jokes. Pairings. I don't care what you think of the people who like/hate/don't care about PoT. I don't care for your pairing hate. This is a *love* in. Love it like Kaji loves cake.

And I know you guys are more spammy than some canned meat.

So to get the party started in here, here are some reasons *I* love Prince of Tennis.

I like teenage boys. And I don't mean that in the way that could get me arrested. I like how everything in their lives are simultaneously simple yet extremely complicated at the same time. I like watching them grow up. And one of the best things about Prince of Tennis is that everyone goes through some sort of character growth. The whole storyline may only be a few months in their lives but they're very different people at the end from they were at the beginning.

I love that they learn things on their own, through their friends, through their teachers and through their rivals.

I love how everything is deathly serious, even though nothing really is. I love that they love what they're doing and that for all the seriousness, they have a lot of fun doing it.

I admire people who work hard. And everyone in Prince of Tennis works oh-so-very hard.

I like that sometimes, nothing makes sense at all.

I like how there's a billion characters, each individual and recognisable. (and that image isn't even up to date!) I love how attached I am to them.

I like the different characteristics of the schools. Shitenhouji. Rokkaku. Rikkaidai. Hyoutei. Fudomine.

I like how it's an individual sport yet put into a team environment.

I love the contradictory nature of Momo.

I love ♥Morieiji♥ when he plays Momo. I love the fanservice available for PoT. The musicals especially.

I love Episode 71.

I love that part where Kaidoh gives Momo his bandana to tie up his wound. I like how it's a rivalry without actually being a rivalry.

I love captains. And what they do for their team.

I love how the filler arc in the anime gave us Senbatsu. Which in turn gave us Wonderful Days. Tango pair.

I love how it's very very gay. Yet still un-gay enough for my brother to watch it just for the tennis.

I love fistbopping.

I love that this is totally feasible.

And I love how I could state that all that seriously without any keysmashing, emoticons or exclamation marks. That's how much I love it.

You know who else has a good cheesy grin, since we're in her journal? Mamo. But I'm in love with voice so I've got a huge bias there.

Ack! Poor Araki. That sounds like it sucks. I can't remember which one it was. Their names confuse me, because they both start with "naka." AHAHAHAH THE CRAB. I laughed SO HARD when I saw that one. I saw the skit one too! Zukki is so wonderfully loud. I love him for that.

Oh man. I can only hope so. I mean, really: who better to bring out the manliness that is bright pink than Seigaku? Right?

I'm partial to black, but grey can be nice too. Or a dark brown, if the person has lighter hair. Just after a shower, so they smell nice.

...mayyyyyyyybe I shouldn't have typed that last sentence. Oh well.

*stalks your journal ... in a non-creepy way* I apologise for the quality of my posts lately, btw. I am not as much of a tard as it possibly appears based on them. Give me a chance. :D

Mamo! YES! I don't quite get the whole 'Mamo is attractive' thing some people think, but he certainly has a fantastic smile and a great voice. And he's hilarious in the tenimyu backstages.

Yeah, me too. I still can't identify all the D-Boys properly. And now there are NEW D-Boys (or at least one new one) and it's all far too complicated, so I'll just stick to the ones I already know, I think. ME TOO. Clearly Shirota is a total pussy city boy through and through. Kaji flinched a little but was far more manly and stoic. The skit episode actually really helped me like Zukkii a lot more than I used to. I never got the whole Zukkii thing until DD-Boys. He seems like a really great guy.

... At least it's the third cast and they don't really matter so much. -_-

You know, I've never seen a brown suit that I've liked. How strange.

... hahaha. I promise not to be weirded out by that if you promise not to be weirded out by my creepy Kaji obsession. :D

Crap, I have to get up in a couple of hours to go to Edinburgh to apply for my visa. So much for 'I'll get a good night's sleep'... :-S

Your posts are cute! I liked the picspam. My journal...has a lot of Bleach. Other stuff too, but mostly Bleach. Really, feel free to skip that because it can all be summed up by "awelfnasdlfnds BLEACH OMG alfnsldknfd BLEACH awelnfdsl AND THEN awleknfklsafnd I LOVE BLEACH." Yeah. Oh and sometimes real life.

I mostly just think he's completely adorable. And energetic! That part where he sings with Kenn? AHAHAHAHAH! Making fun of Saito is HILARIOUS. That's all I can say about that.

There are a lot of them. I like the guy in this icon but of course, I can't remember which naka he is. I do think he's a naka...oh God, please let me be right about that much. Anyway, Shirota is great. And I honestly don't remember when I started liking Zukki - though I think watching D-Boys definitely helped that. I just like how much he seems to care about everything. And everyone.

AHAHAHAHAH! That's sort of my take on it as well. Though I love the Rokkaku actors. Especially Bane. Mmmm.

I think I've seen...two. One, definitely. I don't have a picture, so you'll just have to trust me on this.

You know, I'm sort of unobservant that it took me THIS many comments to suspect you might have a Kaji obsession in the first place. I could always contribute to that by guessing what Kaji smells like in person. Only...that's probably another sentence I shouldn't have typed, eh? Damn it.

Heh. I felt kind of lame calling it picspam when it was only two pictures. Ah well. :D I really like Bleach, so I'm sure I won't be doing any skipping. I never talk about it in my journal, but I watch Bleach every week.

I must have watched that part about 900 times on youtube. Saito-mocking + cute KENN is just too much of a draw for me. :">

That's ... Nakamura, isn't it? I think. Yes, Zukkii's very enthusiastic about things - disturbingly so in Gekiranger, I have to admit - but it's very endearing.

I feel really guilty because I want to support the new Seigaku cast, I really do, but I just can't bring myself to give a crap about them. :| Possibly I only got through Rokkakkumyu because Hyoutei and Aiba and Kujirai were still there so it didn't feel completely alien. I quite like the new Echizen, though, he's terribly cute and I want to ruffle his hair and feed him cookies, and not in a pedo way.

Hahaha. Even with me mentioning him at least twice in each comment? I guess I was trying to rein it in a little. Don't say that! I want to hear your guess! Though it probably matches with what Katie thinks he tastes like. :|

Wow. That's hot. Yes, I should probably get a couple of hours so I'm not completely braindead when I get to the consulate. Though there's always Starbucks.

I call it picspam if I even post one picture. I guess I get overwhelmed easily, haha. You should have seen my mouth drop just now, about the Bleach thing. I get excited whenever someone's seen Bleach before - especially if they're currently watching. Oh MAN this last episode was so great! Ack, but I won't get started or it'll take me forever to shut up. Suffice it to say that if Kubo Tite asked for my liver, I'd seriously consider it for at least five seconds before laughing in his face. And that says a lot. :|

Kenn in general is more adorable than I remember. As in, I always forget until I see him again and go "awwwww!" There's one picture

Yeah...maybe it just takes time? Like after D4, it might be easier to warm up to them. I remember it took me a long time to enjoy the second cast. Because I really like Tuti. He's so expressive. So...it might happen! And if not, er. Enjoy Kujirai! Because he's, um, cutely sensitive. (I overuse the word cute, I realise, but that's their fault for being it, not mine for being repetitive). The new Echizen is 14, isn't he? So young.

My guess would be mean though. Because I'd say something like...grease and cologne. I'm really curious what Katie thinks he tastes like. Fried chicken is my first guess ~~oh God I'm so mean I take it back he probably tastes like really healthy chocolate.~~
