1. I woke up this morning to an SMS (and an email) telling me that Bloc Party will be playing in my city on August 3rd. OMFG. Except they're playing in that large soulless shed called Festival Hall :(. The last time we saw them here, they played to a crowd of a few hundred and spoke to us outside the show for ages... now it's 4000 people in a barn that used to house boxing matches?

I was totally going to roadtrip and see Bloc Party in different cities but not if they're playing these large ugly venues. *sigh*

BUT BLOC PARTY OMG. AUGUST!

2. Sukitomo is out today. I am not sure if I'm ready to watch Aiba boy-crush on Saito just yet. But eeee it's out!

3. Zukkii (and Seto and Araki) look like they're getting photobooks and DVDs. Now we're all hoping against hope that they're cute Souta-type Idol DVDs, not... Saito-lets-roll-around-in-the-mud-and-take-a-shower-to-wash-it-off-arent-i-sexy-type Idol DVDs. Because that killed all my love for Saito, really. Eating with your mouth open - NOT COOL, SAITO. I don't think I could watch Seto take a shower :\

4. I watched 5 episodes of Prisonbreak yesterday. That show is dragging like woah. Agent Kellerman - I won't fuck you over. I might not be the President, but I'll at least pick up your phone calls.

5. *PNISH* GETS THEIR OWN TV SHOW! PRIME TIME! ALL THE ♥MORIEIJI♥ AND TUTI (AND DAIKI AND WASHI) YOU COULD WANT! I AM SO VERY VERY EXCITED. omgomgomgomgomg. If I didn't love my laptop so much I'd keysmash.

6. Totti left the Italian Soccer team. HAH!

7. And finally... Genius 336. athena8 has the translation up, the usual places have the download. Umm


UGH WTF. Okay 6-1 WTF. Konomi did you just shortchange what could have been the most interesting doubles pairing EVER? I don't know how you did it, but I'm positive the rules state that serving and receiving must interchange between doubles pairs. Did Inui get to do anything? Did you just circumvent the RULES?

I know that Super Shiny!Tezuka vs Super Sparkly!Chitose is boring because there's nowhere else they can go, so THAT'S WHY YOU HAD INUI AND ZAIZEN GODDAMN.

And hell, I would have taken the 6-1 score if there was any sort of tension whatsoever. Any sort of 'omg, Tez is going to lose because it's fucking Chitose!' If Tez can own Chitose that badly, what else can stand in his way? Yukimura? Err.

I liked the Thief Bro reference though :D

And yay for my theory of Tezuka winning, therefore unofficial match between Kin and Ryoma taking place - I was right!

Okay, can we get to Rikkai already - I feel sorry for Shitenhouji. They could have been so so so much more interesting.

I vote someone set up a fic challenge : HOW THE INUI TEZUKA - CHITOSE ZAIZEN MATCH SHOULDA GONE DOWN.

Yeah, isn't he, like, 17 or something? Too young to be properly half-naked in the Start photobook, so he probably will do cute stuff in his DVD. I bet he'll eat a big parfait at some point - that's my prediction.

It's more that hearts just don't seem like enough. If there was a symbol I could use to express just how much I want to have sex with that man, I would put it either side of his name. :D

5. Perhaps the only news of the day that kept me from storming around fandom with a torch and burning anyone who's happy about #7. I am eager to see Daiki in all his wonderfulness on a non-fuzzy weekly video program. And Wasshi. Because I love Wasshi more than is healthy.

I've run across a few people in my bitter wanderings today who are expressing glee over Tezuka's victory and saying that the match was good and of course Super Buchou would win 6-1, etc., etc. None of them are on the other flist. If they were, they'd get booted for bad taste.

I think I'm also let down because the Taka match went on forever, and it was the same thing over and over again, whereas the Tezuka match, which had potential for interesting things, was over in two or three weeks.

I'm sick of super buchou. Super Ryoma I can handle, just due to the fact that he's the protagonist and what not, but not Super Tez.

EXACTLY!!! This match was supposed to be the match of all matches, two pinnacles of tennis achievement battling it out over a months long match of back and forth victory with a teeth-clenching finish. I wanted sweat and blind spots and new moves! Sure, Tezuka could win, but I wanted him to prove that he's the best. That match wasn't proof, it was 'oh no, I can't think of anything interesting that should happen, I'll just move on.'

I think once I tried to watch Souta's Idol video. I couldn't finish it due to embarrassment.

I agree about Shitenhouji being so much more interesting. I liked the Fuji vs. Kura and Momo-Kaidoh vs. Koharu-Yuuji matches alright but the last two just were disappointments. I'm still bitter that Inui didn't really get to play. I worry about the Seigaku-Rikkai match. I worry that Konomi is going to "surprise us" and have whoever Rikkai is playing in the semi-finals win instead.
