Jul. 4th, 2007 07:23 pm1. Darren Hayes' new video is out for his latest single. It's not as amazing as I remembered, but it's still very very good and you should see it. http://www.neonbird.com
If that origami swan is part of all his video clips I should be very happy :)
2. Shia LaBeouf would still be my favourite teenage actor if he was still a teenager.
3. I watched Blade Trinity for the first time recently and laughed my head off at Dominic The-Oaf-Linc-on-Prisonbreak Purcell being the all powerful Dracula dude. Is he allergic to doing up more than 2 of his shirt buttons or what?
4. I got a new library card after not having one for a few years. I now have piles of Jane Austen and Agatha Christie to read. :D :D
5. Proof Adam and I Have Nothing In Common #59: He has never heard of Neil Gaiman.
6. I went shopping with my mum today and was trying on a dress at Jacqui E. The dressing room was lit with a fluorescent light and it was the most unforgiving light I have EVER EVER seen. I'd *just* become comfortable with the way my body looks and have come to accept that I am just.. squishy, but oh my god.
Under this light, I had lumps I had no idea existed. I HAD CELLULITE AND I'M SURE I DIDN'T HAVE IT BEFORE. My skin looked like tortoise-shell-coloured cottage cheese spread over orange peel.
My body looked like it'd been drawn by a 4 year old who couldn't control a crayon and therefore couldn't draw smooth lines. BUMPS EVERYWHERE. Something like 5 of them between my breast and my hip.
*sigh*
I look much better in other mirrors under other lights, and I look ok in my bathroom mirror each morning, BUT OMG THE REVELATION.
7. In similar news, here's a photo of me and Adam at that Pimps n Hos party we went to. He's obviously my pimp, and well, I had a heck of a lot of cleavage, but am too uncomfortable to show you. I'm trying to get used to having a bit of cleavage once in a while? (not that much, but a little bit, tank tops and the like) but seriously, give me a turtle neck sweater ANY DAY. I think our outfits look ok with the very tight budget we were dressed on. I had heels and fishnets.
Also, that boa is mine, so if anyone needs a red-and-black boa for any reason, I'd be happy to lend it to you.
( classy and demure. that's us. )
