Things are looking up
Mar. 10th, 2007 01:03 pmSince I posted my last 'I am sad' post, I have:
- eaten much more icecream and sushi. But this time with friends, which made it a million times better.
- found a top I wanted for $7.50 at Target when it was going for $35 at Supre. SUPRE!!
- went for a nighttime walk on the beach with a boy. You could see the city skyline hugging the bay and it was so pretty, and went a little way towards making me feel better. But then it just got really cold :\
- watched lots of my friends buy Jarvis Cocker tickets. JARVIS FUCKING COCKER. How exciting is that! I did not buy at ticket because it looks like.. *drumroll* BLOC PARTY WILL BE PLAYING SPLENDOUR IN THE GRASS ON BYRON BAY... so I may see Bloc Party on the 3rd, 4th, and 5th.. and just follow them up the east coast of Australia. So I am going to be good and save money. EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE.
- found Micahel G LaFosse's Advanced Origami book at Borders. I've been looking for this book for aaaaaages. It is amazing. Google it.
-watched Darren Hayes' Big Night In DVD with
answeringbell. There are no words to describe the awesomeness.
- discovered the wonders of Boujoirs Pump Up The Volume Waterproof mascara. Doubles the length of my eyelashes! Doesn't smudge or budge. Completely affordable. Great-o.
- went to Panic! and saw
o_chan,
the_booster,
sass_le_fay,
ffarff,
plasticgoodness,
talitharaar and other people who don't have LJs.
- got to dance with a pair of kawaii ^__^ Japanese twin boys! SKORRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR. Japanese twins! *_______*
- spent a large part of the night avoiding scary drunk men on the dancefloor, or an old paedophilic man who looked like Kip from Napoleon Dynamite who wanted to dance with everyone. Creepily.
- learnt you're not supposed to shake Polaroid pictures. ANDRE 3000 WHAT ARE THESE LIES THAT YOU SPREAD?
- had this conversation:
Amy: Hey Tina, I saw you here two weeks ago kissing some boy!
Me: O___O [for the record, I probably was, but I've only been kissing the one boy so I'm not a h0r ok]
Amy's friend: Oooh! What did he look like?
Amy: I was drunk! I don't remember!
Amy's friend: Ohhh come on.
Amy: He was bald! Or a shaved head or something.
Me: O___________O NO. NO!
Amy: ahahahahaa oops. I told you I was drunk. Errr, he also had facial piercings, a tattoo on his head, a scar across his cheek, a handlebar moustache and a penis coming out of his neck. Right here. *motions to neck*
Amy's friend: *obviously a bit tipsy* He had a penis coming out of his neck? Huh? What does that mean? How? *turns to me* HOW?
Me: err.. that was a joke.
Amy's friend: *to the rest of my friends* How come the boy Tina was kissing had a penis on his neck?
Tina's friends: What? He has a what? Huh? How?
So now, I'll always be remembered as the girl who was kissing a boy with a penis on his neck. If he's reading this, I apologise.
And I feel a ton better. Hurrah!
