Fam news
Yesterday was the last day of the school holidays. Which doesn't mean much because no one could go anywhere anyway. My mum called after lunch and said that it was lovely down at Chelsea Beach and I should take the kids, so I did. This is the new me, I've been tired of Adam not wanting to go anywhere, or giving me reasons why I shouldn't go somewhere and killing my motivation, so I am going to stop asking him and just go.

And it was so nice. The weather was nice, the water was cold, but that didn't stop the kids, and they made sandcastles and it was just nice to be Outside.

We timed it well though because when we got home and I had to do the grocery shopping, it was positively pouring with rain. I'm glad I did the grocery shopping too though, I'm always sabotaging my week by not having done the grocery shop on Sunday, and it's really had to motivate myself to cook when there's no ingredients and then we just end up getting take away.

I got home and Adam had built a dining table and a coffee table?! Like, the coffee table was just made out of bits and pieces he had lying around and it's beautiful? I could have had a coffee table this whole time? I haven't had one in 12 years. It's SO HARD to explain how I have been living this shitty home life with a shitty home for so long and what a number it's done to my mental health.

Also Adam was grumpy as, because one of the Oculus Quests wasn't working and he had tried everything. I ended up having to contact customer support and they may be sending me a replacement.

There was some korean awards show on and it seemed like everyone won an award idk, but BTS performed, Ateez performed, Stray Kids performed and Itzy performed.. and so did Enhypen and they're all my faves who are active so that was great. Everyone did a medley except for BTS who got to do three of their songs in full.
We got to see Ateez do Fireworks with Mingi which was great, because he was on hiatus when they released that. I don't think they choreographed him in though because sometimes he was just standing awkwardly out the back lol

Stray Kids did their subunit stuff which was exciting. Surfin', Gone Away and Red Lights as well as Thunderous and that was so cool because it really was the gamut of their repertoire. A summery refreshing son, a ballad, a dark sexy song, and a loud shouty one. It reminded me of that MAMA awards performance by Bigbang when they each did a solo song (except Daesung :( ) and came together to do Fantastic Baby. It's like.. the Avengers Assembling, so great.
I feel so sorry for Enhypen, since debut they've never once performed in front of a live audience. It's going to blow their minds.

I finished Ep 8 of Street Dance of China and it was sad to see Henry's team do so badly. I really like Henry, he's not as talented or as competent but he tries so hard. I also watched Ep 2 of RuPaul's Drag Race UK and my gosh the exercise challenge was a mess. RuPaul also is lit weird like he's been photoshopped into shots/he's not actually there, and it's so distracting because I keep trying to work out if he is or not.

mxtx fanwank is still ongoing now with false equivalencies like 'western' people are being petty 'boycotting' danmei books because they don't like the font on the cover vs chinese people being actually worried about lgbt people in their society. I've been VERY good and didn't qrt anyone on Twitter and give any opinions. Jo was so funny and said that liking danmei is going to be a form of activism by next week lol
