1. Isaac Newton once stuck a pin in his eye to see what it felt like and what the consequences were. And he didn't do any lasting damage to them. You'd think he'd know better. He also stared into the sun for as long as he could to see what would happen. He didn't do any lasting damage then either, just a few days in a dark room to recover. Maybe he had super eyes.
