Jul. 4th, 2011 03:55 pmWe got paid! FINALLY!
And now when I put in our tax returns we're going to be rolling in it. Feast or famine right here.
I now know that we *can* live on $250 a week if we didn't have to pay our mortgage. And if I didn't have to get my wisdom teeth taken out. (we had to borrow money for that :( ) And if we didn't need to pay car insurance. (had to borrow money for that too)
It's been a really tough month. I even took all the coins in the house to the bank, we were that broke. Turns out there were $47 worth. I even took the 10c pieces in. Paid for a week's worth of groceries though, so that was a lesson in itself.
Anyway, we got paid, and Adam started working again (he didn't work for a month :( ) and we were so happy we stayed up late and had proper sex. Not oh-we're-in-bed-and-can't-sleep-so-we-might-as-well sex. Then it was 1am and Adam decided chocolate pudding was in order, so he made that and it wasn't ready until 2.
We sat around in blankets with the heater blasting (we'd been frugal with the heating) eating chocolate pudding and watching TV and giggling and it was so perfect.
Then Liam started crying and wouldn't fall back asleep until 4am. So we didn't go to bed until 4 which ruined the entire next day.
I also got it into my head to make honeycomb that night, so I made a big tray of it. BUT I FORGOT TO GREASE THE TRAY FIRST. So now I have no way to get this honeycomb out of my pyrex tray :( HELP. I've just been chipping away at it (IT'S DELICIOUS) but I hope I can salvage the tray!
Now I'm going to try and be frugal with our money knowing that we can do it. It was a good lesson.
