Things are always cuter when they're small.

I thought Liam's shoes were cute when I got him a pair of Uggs. Or when I got him a pair of Converse Chucks.

Adam's friends came back from Brazil with a mini pair of Batman Havaianas.

Forget the gumboots, these are Liam's new favourite footwear. They're slightly too big, so I'm constantly having to slip them back on his feet.

Are Havaianas a thing outside of Australia? I swear they're like part of the Australian uniform. I've gone out at night and seen men in shirts, jeans and thongs/flip flops. I've seen women wear them with formal dresses. I bet everyone owns a pair. I have a couple of pairs myself, but Gisele Bundchen's Ipanema brand of thongs/flip flops are the most comfortable I have ever worn.

I couldn't keep him still long enough to take a photo with him in them.

Are those the same things as flip flops?

And yes, smaller is always cuter. We have a book called "the power of cute" and the super power is shrinking things, then making their head and eyes bigger. Heh

I've never seen that particular brand, but the type of thing they are is very common if you live in warmer areas, ESPECIALLY coastal. I lived in mine in Florida.

It seems like as soon as the snow is off the ground the teenagers are out in flip flops. I wait for it to actually thaw first. Although I'm more into leather flat sandals than rubber flip flops.

I want a child for the sole purpose of having a reason to buy the tiny tiny shoes. Baby converse kill me, they're so cute!

They are very much a thing in the US. Very popular everywhere in the summer, also in spring/fall in warmer areas, and mandatory for the beach.
